While other sports and sources of transportation progress smoothly, certain youth of today are being isolated and condemned for their athletic ability. Skateboarders have been subjected to a bumpier journey for worldwide recognition after 10 years of being used as a scapegoat for many city centers to clean up the streets. Concrete Addiction investigates the arguments for and against the bylaw banning this international pastime on Vancouver's streets.

Film editor   Review This Film

Excellent swipe at the situation in this city. It's silly how the authorities think they have to treat their salary payers. Absolutely silly. This film hits the nail on the head.
John -- Vancouver

It is so crazy to think that this sport is still looked upon as a "fad." Look at the extreme sports shows goin on. They are incredible. They are gaining audiences every day. I think the filmakers have done an excellent job of showing "who" the story is for and "who" it is about and just why they need some support. Great job on a very important subject. Good luck.
Christy -- Peoria IL USA

I found this to be an interesting piece. I never before had an interest in skateboarding until I saw this film, and it made me realise that skateboarders are a real hazard to society. Take alook at where they do their skating, on sidewalks, where pedestrians are. Don't these juveniles realise what a dangerous vehicle they become when they get on those skateboards? hmph, children nowadays, will they ever learn?
Jason Yee -- hiding in a cave

congratulations! you made an excellent job! keep on working!
marisol -- barcelona, spain
